Carla is a Chartered Insurer with a wealth of experience, having embarked on her journey in the general insurance industry in 2005. Over the past two decades, she has honed her expertise in underwriting and risk management, taking on pivotal roles such as Account Executive, Underwriter, and Commercial Manager at leading insurance agencies. Her profound knowledge and dedication have been instrumental since she joined Bahamas First, where she collaborates with a diverse team to deliver innovative and competitive solutions across multiple lines of business.
In 2022, Carla was honoured as a CII Goodwill Ambassador, becoming the first in The Bahamas and the Caribbean region. In this influential role, she strives to promote professional development and elevate the recognition of the insurance sector in the region.
Carla also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Coventry University in England, and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII). She is a committed member of the CII’s Society of Underwriting Professionals.
