Marketing Assistant

Job Summary
The role will provide marketing support to the Bahamas First Group and requires a high level of creativity, a strong writing skill set and the ability to interpret performance from analytics.
Core Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of branded print, broadcast, and online advertising campaigns in support of the Group marketing strategy
- Assist with direct marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
- Coordinate logistics of marketing and community events, trade shows, conferences, and meetings
- Maintain an inventory and directory of marketing support materials
- Set up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
- Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.
- Liaise with printers, designers, and other promotional vendors.
- Administer internal communication system.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media strategy.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content
- Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
- Monitor and measure web traffic and SEO
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Communications
- One to two years’ experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
- Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats
- Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
- Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience with research software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with the use of website management system (CMS), including WordPress
- Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines is a plus
