Marketing Assistant

Job Summary

The role will provide marketing support to the Bahamas First Group and requires a high level of creativity, a strong writing skill set and the ability to interpret performance from analytics.

 Core Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the creation of branded print, broadcast, and online advertising campaigns in support of the Group marketing strategy
  • Assist with direct marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
  • Coordinate logistics of marketing and community events, trade shows, conferences, and meetings
  • Maintain an inventory and directory of marketing support materials
  • Set up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
  • Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.
  • Liaise with printers, designers, and other promotional vendors.
  • Administer internal communication system.
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategy.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Monitor and measure web traffic and SEO

 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Communications
  • One to two years’ experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience with research software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with the use of website management system (CMS), including WordPress
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines is a plus
  • Commitment to the confidentiality of sensitive information
